How can I not start my first post on the Air Jordan 1s?
The yeah is 1985, and the debut of what would be the start of sneakerhead fandom, Nike came out what would The Nike Air Jordan. The Air Jordan 1 was designed by Peter Moore. While most of the characteristics come from other Nike designs like the Air Force 1, Nike Dunk, Air Ship, and Nike Vandal. Who would've known that Jordan would have a line of retro Jordans 1-23 and at least 23 different types of Jordan 1's made? With the black Air Jordans being banned by the NBA because the NBA did not allow players to wear black shoes.
The most famous basketball player ever and maybe the most famous athlete ever also known as the GREATEST basketball player to ever walk this earth showed the world at the end of his career that his legacy would live on forever for the 6 championships, 5 MVPs, 6x finals MVPs, and other countless awards, there will never be anyone like him. People wished they were Michael Jordan but knew they could never be as good as him but the closest thing they could do was buy his brand shoe and "Be Like Mike", 37 years later his shoes live on and still continue to have exclusive drops and go sold out everywhere and sometimes even hard to attain with the Air Jordan 1 being the most important one.
