I remember being in 7th grade and these bad boys debuted, they were thee shoe to play basketball in. I remember showing up to my tryouts in middle school and all the guys had these on. I felt dumb because I was the only one without them, it didn't matter how good I was, all that mattered is that I didn't fit with the guys on the A-team without buying the Nike Air Max 180s in black. Once I got these I felt untouchable on the court, they were my most prized possession during that season of basketball. I look back and think how in the hell did I play in these, of course now with all the great shoes that have came after this one. I loved these shoes so much that I saved my lunch money and asked my grandparents for money each week to get a second pair. It's hard to explain to the kids I coach now which are 7th graders how much these shows were worth to us and they laugh because they have KD's, Kyries, LeBron's, etc. I hate that these shoes were never put back out for production because I definitely would buy 3 pairs.
